Who is Illawarra Birth Classes? 

Illawarra Birth Classes was created by two local certified birth doulas Alyssa (Cherish Birth) and Amelia (now a registered midwife in WA), with a combined 20+ years of birth support. As doulas, we had been providing birth education in a 1:1 capacity with families we worked with, but we saw the gap in group education, to have an independent birth education option for Illawarra families. So, we created the course, launched in 2018 and for years we were the only Independent Birth Education classes in the area.

We are passionate about helping families feel positive about pregnancy and birth. We believe that birth can be a transformative and empowering experience. We aim to provide classes that are informative whilst being relaxed and welcoming.

In 2022 Amelia relocated to Perth and Alyssa continues to offer the same high standard education to the families of the Illawarra.
